IMR Project Engineer

We are looking for motivated consultants to support our client's subsea operations.
You will be part of a dedicated IMR team, working with both onshore preparation and offshore execution. The position is based at our office in Forus, Stavanger.

Position Summary

The consultant position will be based in Stavanger with offshore trips in the North Sea oil fields, supporting Aker BP.

Typical work scopes include installations, light construction, and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) operations.

Responsibilities include technical evaluations, procedure and equipment preparation, review of technical documentation, production of as-built reports, and providing engineering support offshore. The IMR Project Engineer will report to the Installation Engineering Manager and Project Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute tasks assigned by the Installation Engineering Manager or project organization. Tasks will primarily be technical, with some administrative and project management responsibilities.
• Work closely with Project Manager(s) to ensure project objectives, schedules, deliverables, and milestones are achieved.
• Deliver engineering scope from early client engagement through to offshore execution.
• Produce engineering documentation, procurement support, subcontractor follow-up, HSEQ inputs, technical presentations, and reports.
• Prepare and manage equipment required for each project.
• Plan offshore operations and support execution.
• Perform rigging and basic sea-fastening calculations when required.
• Create deck layouts in AutoCAD.
• Participate in and present risk assessments, including HAZID and HIRA/HAZOP.
• Attend mobilizations and offshore campaigns onboard construction vessels.
  Review product designs and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Integration Tests (SIT) if required.
• Interface with Document Control, Design Analysts, and Design/Drafting personnel.
• Interface with third parties and oversee subcontractors as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in subsea construction.
• Offshore work experience.
• Knowledge of MathCAD and 2D AutoCAD.
• Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
• Valid offshore health certificate.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Norwegian.

Desired

• Experience with vessel mobilizations.
• Experience with typical IMR work scopes and subsea projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, client specifications, and classification/rule requirements (e.g., DNV, ABS).
• Ability to take lead responsibility for defined work packages.
