Engineer / Senior Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation

We are looking for a qualified Engineer or Senior Engineer, Electrical & Instrumentation with experience in the offshore and marine industry.

Reporting directly to Pawel Mika, Senior Manager, Engineering & Product Management.

This position is based in Arendal or Kristiansand, Norway.

• Assist in the tender phase by commenting on customer specifications, highlighting deviations, and producing necessary documentation
• Design, modify, and optimize equipment within the existing product portfolio
• Work according to established procedures regarding design and document/data handling
• Provide technical documentation in accordance with project requirements
• Manage project timelines and budgets for E&I deliverables without compromising safety or quality
• Ensure compliance with international standards and class requirement, including those for hazardous areas
• Work closely with the other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
• Perform electrical calculations, identify potential issues in existing systems, and propose corrective actions
• Supervise external engineers and act as a mentor in your area of expertise to foster technical growth within the team
• Liaise with Technical Advisors and Product Owners to discuss complex technical solutions and potential improvements
• Develop new, efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions
• Participate in vendor evaluations and follow-up activities to ensure third-party equipment and components meet project standards

You should demonstrate a high level of knowledge in electrical and instrumentation engineering, including international standards and class requirements. We are looking for a professional with an excellent work ethic who is ready to provide technical support and is flexible for travel when required.

Ideally you have

• Previous experience in Electrical Engineering
• University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) - relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
• Experience with Offshore standards (DNV, ABS, CCS, BV, etc)
• Software experience (E3, SAP, PLM, etc) is an advantage
• Understanding of engineering design principles and practices
• Good communication and team-working skills
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
