Group Tax Manager

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified tax professional to join NAVTOR as we continue to develop our in-house tax capability, evolving from a fully outsourced model into a dynamic internal advisory and compliance function. The Group Tax Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of the tax function, helping to ensure compliance at Group level & across locations, deliver on NAVTOR’s transformation roadmap. The successful candidate will report to the Global Finance Director and will take ownership of a portfolio of tax initiatives with international exposure in a high-growth environment.

Core Accountabilities

• Responsible for all legal entities’ tax compliance and reporting, ensure alignment with evolving regulations

• Serve as a point of contact for all entities’ direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing matters

• Oversee and manage outsourced tax service providers

• Researching tax issues, working with third-party advisors as necessary

• Monitor changes in local tax laws, assess the impact on the business

• Reviewing financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Drive process improvements/ automations across tax operations

• Contribute to global projects such as legal entity restructuring, M&A transactions, due diligence

• Develop tax policies & controls

• Manage tax audits, as and when they arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field

• Master’s in Taxation highly preferred

Skills & Experience - Essential

• 6-8 years of experience in a tax function

• Strong technical knowledge of direct, indirect, international tax & transfer pricing

• Tax accounting experience

• Skilled at managing external advisors

• Advanced proficiency in Excel

• Experience with ERP systems and process improvements

• Proven ability to work in fast-paced and changing environments

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural teams and functions

• Ability to build strong relationships with local finance teams & advisors

• Strong time management skills and ability to perform under pressure
