Rotating Equipment to take full PRE responsibility for pumps and compressor!

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Mechanical Package Engineer – Rotating Equipment to join an exciting engineering project. The role involves responsibility for rotating mechanical equipment, including pumps and compressors, with a focus on design, technical assessments, and supplier follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Act as Package Engineer for rotating mechanical equipment (pumps and compressors).

• Perform studies, FEED, design, selection, and assessments of rotating equipment.

• Prepare and issue technical requisitions and datasheets.

• Conduct technical evaluation of supplier quotations.

• Maintain technical liaison with suppliers, customers, and other engineering disciplines.

• Perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages.

• Follow up on packages during installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning.

• Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests.

• Identify and report any extra work related to changes in scope.

• Review and approve supplier documentation.

• Provide technical input to engineering registers.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for supplier scope.

• Secure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English – both spoken and written.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• High commitment to deadlines and quality requirements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Frequent travel expected for this position.

Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as PRE for pump and compressor packages.

• Experienced in multidisciplinary engineering.

• Familiarity with NORSOK, API610, API685, API674, API617, API618, API614, and Norwegian acts and regulations.

Education

• Minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
