We are looking for a mechanical engineer for our optomechanical department to strengthen the R&D team at NEO Monitors and to support our safety critical and state-of-the-art gas analyzers. Key responsibilities include product development, maintaining existing products, product documentation and providing engineering support for sales and projects. We are seeking a candidate with the ability to structure and manage tasks, take responsibility, and with an innovative and collaborative mindset.

Tasks                                                                                                                                       

• Design and develop mechanical and optomechanical components, products and systems

• Support the technical maintenance of the current product portfolio

• Participate in development projects and contribute to meet milestones and goals

• Collaborate actively with other teams on ongoing activities

• Support production, QA, sales, product certification and product management work

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Experience with CAD and PDM systems

• Good knowledge of development and project work, and work in multidisciplinary teams 

• Practical experience and knowledge of optomechanics and hazardous area product design is an advantage, but training will be provided

• Knowledge of materials technology, technical drawings and manufacturing methods

• Familiarity with standards, product verification, production, QA and ERP systems is beneficial

• Positive, solution-focused and with the ability take responsibility for deliverables and tasks

• Fluent oral and written Norwegian and English communication skills
