Want to help deliver safe, smart, and innovative terminal solutions?
At ECOnnect Energy, we are redefining marine energy infrastructure in order to enable the energy transition. We are now looking to strengthen our technical capabilities across projects and disciplines.
As our Senior System Engineer, you’ll be a technical authority at ECOnnect Energy - leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, innovative, and integrated marine terminal solutions. You’ll combine hands-on engineering with system-level leadership, ensuring each project meets the required quality and compliance - balancing technical excellence with practical, cost-effective solutions that fulfill regulatory, client, and internal requirements.
Your role is key in driving technical innovation, aligning cross-disciplinary design, and supporting technical sales and client engagements as we advance our solutions for the energy transition.
Some of the responsibilities of the position:
Leadership and technical authority: Serve as one of the company’s technical authorities, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring effective technical leadership across projects and sales.
System integration and requirements management: Ensure cross-discipline design alignment and manage system requirements from design through fabrication and validation.
Quality assurance and compliance: Oversee technical quality and compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines throughout all project phases.
Innovation and technical expertise: Advance our terminal solutions by driving technology development according to market needs and continuous improvements of our solutions and technical expertise.
Technical sales and client engagement: Cooperate with the sales team, ensuring the right technical quality are met, and the right technical solution is offered to solve our clients' needs.
We have ambitious goals for this position, and we are looking for someone who can lead and bridge technical knowledge with commercial insight based on customer needs.
Who we believe you are
As our Senior System Engineer, we see it as a core of this position to have solid hands-on experience from:
Shipyards, mechanical workshops, or relevant manufacturing facilities.
Offshore work, marine operations, or direct experience working on ships or shipyards.
Design, construction, and operation of marine structures handling hazardous gases or liquids, preferably LNG, ammonia, and hydrogen
Relevant education in engineering fields such as marine technology, process engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
Beyond your technical skills and experience, strong people management skills are essential. You will lead and inspire cross-functional teams of engineers from ECOnnect, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Knowledge sharing and professional development are integral to our success. Your ability to combine technical leadership with effective team management will be critical in driving innovation and delivering projects efficiently.
