Join our team at the Salmon Exchange Desk!

We are looking for a dynamic and organized Salmon Trading Lead to join our team at the Salmon Exchange Desk of Euronext in Bergen. The Salmon Trading Lead will help run salmon trading operations with the other members of the salmon exchange desk and contribute to the expansion of the current footprint of the salmon franchise.

Key Accountabilities

The Salmon Trading Lead be a critical member of the Salmon Exchange Desk:

• Reach-out to, educate and onboard current and prospect salmon market participants

• Enter, amend or cancel orders in Euronext trading platform Optiq® on behalf of trading members.

• Register off-order book (wholesale) trades in Optiq on behalf of trading members

• Support the liquidity of the salmon derivatives market, with constant contacts with potential market participants

The Salmon Trading Lead will also contribute to the management of the Bergen office, managing the website and the dedicated IT tools, establishing relationships with the suppliers of the Bergen Office and being the main point of contact of Euronext finance teams.

Candidate qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus.

• Experience in commodities trading or finance, especially in seafood or agriculture, and/or in the salmon industry.

• Norwegian- and English-speaker

• Understanding of hedging mechanisms trough listed derivatives

• Entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, commercial mindset, attention to detail, results-driven and proactive mentality.
