As the company continues to grow, Vårgrønn is looking for a Modelling Analyst to join their dynamic Finance team in Oslo.
As a Modelling Analyst for Vårgrønn, you will be responsible for performing financial and economic analyses, contributing to project development and company growth. You will develop and maintain financial models that underpin decision-making at both project and portfolio levels. While being an integral part of the finance team you will work closely with colleagues in Vårgrønn and our partners as part of multidisciplinary project teams. You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial assessments critical to the success of our business.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain financial models to support project-level and portfolio-wide financial analysis
- Co-responsible for operating and developing the company's portfolio model, which serves as the foundation for capital planning and strategic decision-making
- Conduct financial due diligence to support project development, tenders, and M&A processes
- Support financing activities, including capital raising, project financing, and capital management
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and the Board of Directors
- Contribute to internal reporting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Collaborate closely with Business Development and shareholders to ensure the business plan remains aligned with strategic goals
Experience and qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a BSc or MSc in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. You should have 1-3 years of financial modelling experience from transaction services, or from roles in an industrial company, investment banking, asset management or similar. While experience in the energy sector is a plus, it is not a requirement. Please do not hesitate to apply if you have a different background and believe you could contribute to our team.
Strong financial modelling skills are essential, along with advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite. Programming experience is preferred, but not required. You must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
