What you will do

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of our engineering ecosystem. Your mission is to create an exceptional developer experience for our stream-aligned teams, enabling them to move fast and deliver real customer value.

You will do this by building on the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework - operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability - bringing best-in-class practices to everything you touch. From planning and coding to building, testing, releasing, deploying, and monitoring, you will be deeply involved in the entire lifecycle of our internal platform - the foundation that powers our products and services.

This is not just a maintenance role; it is a chance to innovate, automate, and continuously improve. You will collaborate closely with our Chief Architect, Head of Technology, and Lead Engineers to design solutions that scale, perform, and delight developers. With the support of a Senior Technical Manager, you will have both guidance and autonomy to make bold decisions that shape the future of our platform and the way our teams build software.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements to the internal developer experience, ensuring that developers can move fast and ship quality products

• Software engineering/development

• Documentation, code and solution design

• Quality Assurance

• Cooperation with Chief Architect, Lead Engineers and teams

• Design solution alternatives with the Lead Engineer and your team in line with Vimond’s strategies

• Work on backlog tasks assigned to your team

• Write upgrade guides and document configurations and patches

• Review current systems for improvement opportunities, replacement or deprecation

• Test the products your team builds in controlled but real situations

• Maintain the same systems once they are in production

Required skills

• Relevant higher education (Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or similar)

• More than 5 years of experience from a similar role

• Experience with event driven architecture and distributed systems

• Software life cycle management experience

• Experience with monitoring services running in production environments

• Experience with relational database preferably Oracle and PostgreSQL

• Experience with NoSQL database

• Experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes preferred)

• AWS services and in particular networking and security 

• IAC based on Terraform

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Experience with the following technology is a plus:

  • Golang knowledge
