HR Business Partner Emergency Response
The Red Cross works to save lives globally, and we are now searching for an HR colleague to help us support timely and quality deployments to the Red Cross Movement. In the HR Business Partner role, you will manage deployments of highly skilled professionals in our preparedness emergency response roster, support the recruitment, HR database maintenance, and development of the Emergency Response Roster who contribute to the Red Cross Movement.
You will gain extensive insight into the International Red Cross Movement and develop your HR skills in collaboration with an open and supportive HR Business Partner team. The position is part of the International HR Unit and is a full-time temp position until December 31st, 2025.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage HR support and coordination of the deployment of emergency response delegates.
- Support HR assessment of emergency response delegates and ensure structured follow-up of performance appraisals.
- Support planning and facilitation of motivational activities.
- Manage database maintenance, guidelines, frameworks, and the Delegate's Handbook.
- Provide deployment administrative HR support as needed, in particular in relation to small- and large-scale deployments.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of Global Surge Team members and Emergency Response roster delegates as needed.
- Establish strong collaboration with key Emergency Response counterparts within the Norwegian Red Cross as well as within the International Red Cross movement and other National Societies on matters related to HR tools, frameworks, and resource management.
- Suggest and follow up development initiatives and activities that contribute to the future development of the Emergency Response roster and the HR management of the Global Surge Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or above, in HR or related science
- Experience from an HR Service Delivery environment
- Experience from providing HR support to emergency deployments
- Experience from HR processes and tools related to organisational and individual development
- Experienced user of IT Recruitment and testing tools
- Experienced user of personnel databases
- Knowledge of humanitarian fieldwork HR in Emergency Response is an asset
- English and Norwegian as working languages is compulsory
