Legal counsel position in international tech company

As Legal Counsel, you will be a key advisor at Fonn Group. You will have a broad range of responsibilities across our whole global business. You will play an important role in shaping the legal framework and processes that support our fast-growing SaaS business, ensuring robust compliance and effective risk management. This position will provide you with a strong overview of the entire business. You will be a go-to legal partner within the entire organization, meaning that you’ll support our leaders and teams and be in charge of important legal tasks. You will be a valued member of our legal team and will report directly to the General Counsel.
You will be:

• A core part of our legal team, with a unique opportunity to shape our legal function and our internal processes.
• Providing comprehensive legal advice to Fonn Group and its affiliates across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including but not limited to contract law, data privacy and cybersecurity, corporate law, intellectual property and employment law.
• Working on exciting, hands-on contract negotiations with renowned global customers, ranging from major broadcasters and digital agencies to educational institutions and diverse organizations.
• Drafting and reviewing a variety of agreements, such as SaaS customer contracts, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and more, directly impacting our global operations. 
• Ensuring robust compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while contributing to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures. 
• Identifying and mitigating legal risk, proactively to support Fonn Group’s strategic goals and growth.
• Contributing to internal training on legal and compliance topics to enhance company-wide competence and awareness. 
• Collaborating closely with various departments across Fonn Group, ensuring legal and compliance aspects are integrated throughout all business operations.

Key qualifications, experience and personal qualities we are seeking:

• A master’s degree in laws 
• 2-4 years of professional experience, either from a law firm or an in-house legal or compliance role
• Solid understanding of contract law 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Versatile and eager to learn and manage diverse legal areas
• Independent, yet a good team player
• Structured and precise, but focused on finding practical solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Be courageous

While not required, experience or familiarity with one or more of the following is valuable:

• SaaS contracts, general technology, and digitalization
• Data privacy laws (including GDPR)
• Information security standards (such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2)
• Developing and implementing internal policies and legal frameworks
