Role Summary

Coordinate the overall project HSE&Q work in the region and collaborate with operational projects. The role will support the continuous improvement and compliance to the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality elements of the company’s HSEQ Management System. Follow up goals and requirements of EDR HSEQ Policies and Standards are achieved in all activities

Area of responsibility

General

• Follow up projects in implementing, managing, and improving according to HSEQ Management System

• Provide professional support and advice to regions Management Team and Staff on Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters

• Perform HSEQ training for all EDR’s regional personnel to meet the requirements of EDR’s business, standards, and regulatory authorities in the region/ area

• Follow up HSEQ matters with clients within the assigned project  

Health and safety

• Follow up Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Programme

• Responsible for developing, promoting and monitoring the HSEQ culture

• Provide visible and positive leadership and promote the adoption of best practices

• Follow up HSEQ performance indicators to measure according to company’s goals and objectives

• Coordinate and analyse HSEQ statistics and data and report them to regional and HQ management team and propose improvements or actions as required

• Lead and/or assist in incident investigations

• Lead and/or assist in risk assessments

• Manage HSE cases for the region

Environmental

• Follow up environmental policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and standards

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits

• Manage waste, emissions, and environmental incidents

• Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the project

Quality

• Follow up project according to ISO and API Q2, and implementation of the processes required by the standards in the region.

• Lead and/or assist in audits onshore and offshore (as appropriate) according to EDR’s audit programme.

• Ensure that lessons learned are communicated across region and company as appropriate.

• Follow up client’s supplier qualification programmes and evaluation of client HSEQ documentation.

• Follow up project management of Non-conformance cases

Education  

• HSE Bachelor degree or equivalent

• Other technical education that's relevant

Experience/Skills

Experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, preferably experience from offshore deepwater drilling operations within the energy industry preferable

• Preferably offshore MPD operations experience

• IT programs relevant to area of responsibility (Microsoft, Sharepoint, management system, Chemical management systems, Synergi and/or other relevant software)

• Knowledge of various industry standards like ISO, API, NORSOK, etc.

• In working with external clients, stakeholders and understanding their requirements

• Analytical, structured and systematic

• Good auditing skills and experience

• Excellent motivational skills
