We are looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to be part of a team for taking the next step in space based surveillance and communication missions.

Experience from the space domain is preferred but not mandatory in case of having experience from other technical challenging domains. A technical background is needed since some technical product knowledge is necessary to conduct the work in good manners. Experience from past PA/QA work is also appreciated.

The Space and Surveillance part of Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has more than 30 years of experience within the space business and delivers a broad spectrum of equipment, systems and services related to space and maritime surveillance customers in more than 40 countries.

Our portfolio includes equipment and components for the European heavy-lift launchers Ariane 5 & 6, NASAs Mars rover Perseverance, equipment for communication, navigation, earth observation satellites as well as scientific space probes and space exploration.

In our Smallsat Systems group, we build cost-effective, high-performance satellites for the space industry and defence and we do it all, from the first sketch to launch day, we own the process. What you should bring:

• Preferred knowledge of quality management systems applied to the space sector
• Knowledge of how to apply various standards and ISO9001 practically
• Ability to identify and take quantified risks and make decisions in a fast-changing environment so we can satisfy the customer needs
• Excellent people management skills and technical know-how on complex products that can directly relate to space/satellites
• B.Sc or M.Sc in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Physics or similar
• English and Norwegian oral and written communication skills
