Join Cermaq Group as Internal Auditor

Cermaq Group is looking for a structured and analytical Internal Auditor to join our global internal audit team. This role offers the opportunity to work with internal controls, compliance, and risk management in an international setting, with operations in Norway, Chile, and Canada. This is a solid opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their career in audit and control functions, and who is comfortable with routine tasks combined with advisory and improvement work.

About the Role

As an Internal Auditor at Cermaq, you will gain insight into the company’s processes and control environment, and help ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across countries and report to the Head of Internal Audit in Chile and the Chief Legal Officer in Oslo. Some domestic and international travel is required. The office location is In Oslo (Barcode).

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

• Performing and reporting on J-SOX activities related to internal control environment and reporting for all Cermaq subsidiaries

• Acting as point of contact for internal audit matters, including liaison with our owners Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan

• Planning and conducting risk-based internal audits, both financial and operational

• Act as a trusted advisor to business units on internal control, compliance and risk

• Advising management on internal control and risk management best practices

• Supporting the development of internal audit as a relevant and value-adding function

Desired qualifications:

• Higher education in finance, auditing, accounting, or similar (CIA or CISA degree preferred)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance, or risk management from a global company, consulting firm or audit firm

• Familiarity with ICFR and SOX frameworks; or certifications such as ISO is a plus

• Strong digital skills, especially in auditing, analytics, and reporting tools (power bi)

• Fluent in English and Norwegian, Spanish is an advantage

• Willingness to travel internationally when required
