We're looking for a Maintenance Manager! As part of the management team at our warehouse in Lier, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance. The role involves escalating deviations and handling incidents that could affect operational safety. As a Maintenance Manager, you'll lead a team of maintenance automation technicians who ensure production flows run smoothly, support operational needs, and seek proactive solutions to ensure efficient operations. As well as supporting the development of equipment and implementing upgrades and changes according to plans, you are also responsible for implementing upgrades and changes. As part of your responsibilities, you will also manage the relationship with contractors, monitor repairs, and ensure that health and safety policies are followed.
What you’ll do as Maintenance Manager with us
- Ensure and develop operational reliability in all stages of our value chain.
- Monitor and support both corrective and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes for existing machinery, as well as implementing new equipment, machines, and automation.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and equipment, and ensure availability when needed.
- Establish and maintain sustainable relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, including guidance, training, and supervision.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, balancing costs while maintaining quality service.
- Be available on duty, quickly deal with deviations, contribute to immediate solutions, and analyze subsequently to implement preventive measures against similar incidents.

To be successful, we believe you
- Has expertise in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment documentation using an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Can effectively interact with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring delivery of agreed services within specified timeframes, and budget limits and in accordance with high-quality standards.
- Has deepened insight into effective administration of maintenance budgets, optimization of resource use, and identification of cost-saving opportunities, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly and successfully communicate technical information, as well as effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from various operational departments to foster strong, positive relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances, proactively solve problems, and make effective decisions in a dynamic operating environment.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills as this role involves fostering collaboration and motivating team members to create a cohesive and productive work environment with a high level of performance.
- Have a strong commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards, implementing and enforcing protocols for a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Copes well with stress and likes to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Are systematic, self-motivated and solution-oriented
The following will probably be helpful
- Has a relevant background and formal education in subject areas such as electricity, automation, industrial mechanics, or engineering.
- Has at least 4+ years experience in a technical role within an industrial environment, with expertise in control systems (especially PLC-Siemens S7), mechanics, and production IT.
- Experience leading a team of 5+ people
- Experience in industry/automated facilities
- Has a technical interest and understanding
- Speaks and writes Norwegian and English fluently
