An exciting opportunity has arisen as Project Manager in our central Manufacturing Technology department. In this role you will manage complex manufacturing engineering projects that deliver new solutions to our manufacturing sites in Horten and Villajoyosa (Spain). You will be working in a cross-functional team including manufacturing development engineers, R&D engineers, manufacturing, procurement and vendors.

The Manufacturing Technology department develops and implements manufacturing processes, test systems and automation solutions for manufacturing. We work with both process efficiency and new product introduction.

Kongsberg grows in Horten and moves into a new building. This will become an exciting center for advanced manufacturing in Norway.

Responsibilities

• Project manager for new manufacturing solutions
• Lead projects with focus on buying solutions and services from vendors
• Plan and coordinate projects from idea to full operation in manufacturing. Including requirement specification, concept design, prototyping, installation, validation and ramp up
• Take part in procurement process to ensure vendor selection and contract that support our needs in entire solution life cycle. Including engineering capability and service agreements
• Lead projects with both internal resources and vendors
• Project reporting

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or masters degree within relevant technical disciplines, manufacturing / supply chain management, systems engineering or equivalent
• Project management experience
• Experience with manufacturing engineering projects
• Experience with business tools including MS Office, MS Project, Azure DevOps, PLM, ERP
• Experience from structured processes like Agile, Scrum, Lean, PMP, Prince or similar is an advantage

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
