The anticipated duration of employment spans from mid-January 2024 to August 2024, with the potential for extension.

Duties and responsibilities

• Handle and assist with placement of marine insurances 
• Handle and assist with advisory risk management transfer solutions
• Handle and assist in handling and coordination of various types of marine insurance claims, e.g. cargo claims and damage to vessel/other assets (Hull and Machinery, Protection and Indemnity etc.) and other marine insurance claims
• Handle marine insurances, company insurances, project insurances and global coordination of other programs and tasks
• Provide legal support and coordination towards legal team at OSM Thome as well as perform contract reviews
• Maintain database of placements, claims and prepare periodical reports and claims analysis
• Support the insurance team in various tasks

Requirements/Personal Qualities

• Able to work independent, analytical and structured.
• Has a commercial understanding and strong negotiation and communication skills
• Understand the value of sharing knowledge and proactively supports the organization
• Understands customer requirements and serves the clients’ interests
• Able to work under pressure and meets deadlines
• Behaves with integrity and has high ethical standards in line with the OSM Thome values, policies and code of conduct

Qualifications

• Authorized insurance broker, or Master of Laws or Master of Business
• Preferably minimum 3 year experience with maritime insurance placements, claims handling or similar position
• Candidates with other relevant work experience, such as legal, maritime or technical background will also be considered
• Good English written and oral skills
• Good computer skills
