Seeking a HSEQ and LEAN Navigator to Drive Operational Excellence and Safety Performance
Maritime Robotics is an internationally leading supplier of Autonomous Navigation Systems and Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USV). The company delivers globally to main markets within Mapping & Survey, Defence & Security, Energy, Scientific and transportation.
The company was founded in 2005 and has had high growth over the past years. In 2022, turnover was 95 MNOK. This corresponds to a growth of 35% from 2021.
Our team is constantly growing and have now exceeded 60 highly motivated and competent people. The head office is in Trondheim, while production takes place in Vanvikan across the fjord from Trondheim.

HSEQ and Lean Navigator is a new position in our organization which should be a strong team player understanding the value of good collaboration both internally, with suppliers and customers. Accuracy, structure and ability to deliver are other qualities required for success.
The main workplace can be at our Head Office in Trondheim or at our production facility in Vanvikan, but it is expected to spend time in both places. The role is part of the leadership team in Operations.
Although we are working towards more robotisation and automation, there will always be a need for skilled, enthusiastic and innovative people!
The tasks will be flexible, varied and to a certain extent adaptable to your competence and experience,
- Driving a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Enhance HSEQ focus and improve related systems in close cooperation with the Management Team and HR.
- Utilize LEAN methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency in all parts of our value chain.
- Ensure compliance and create employee commitment for our ISO9001 certified Quality System.
- Be a vital contributor to our increasing focus on sustainability, i.e. ISO14001 certification.
- Conducting training and awareness programs for employees related to Lean and HSEQ practices.
- Assist in projects with quality control, documentation and compliance to customer requirements.
Relevant competence and personal qualities,
We value both knowledge sharing and the ability to continuously improve one's own skills and quality of work. The list below includes competencies and qualities that will be useful in the job, but it is not a requirement to tick off all the points to apply:
- Higher education within HSE,Quality assurance and/or LEAN. Relevant experience might compensate for the lack of formal education.
- Good computer skills, preferably experience with SW tools relevant for HSEQ documentation and systems.
- Knowledge about internal auditing and risk management processes.
- Can use both Norwegian and English as a working language
Although HSEQ processes by nature require procedures and routines, you should have the ability to value common sense and flexibility above bureaucracy.
