Join Nutreco in Stavanger, Norway, as the Global Category Manager for Sustainable Ingredients! This exciting role puts you at the forefront of discovering, developing, and implementing sustainable ingredients in Nutreco's global feed markets. Your primary mission will be to drive the adoption of environmentally friendly ingredients throughout the business globally.

As the Global Category Manager, you'll constantly explore new market trends, assess innovative products and technologies, and create compelling business cases for both management and customers. Your responsibilities will also encompass global procurement activities with suppliers. The sub-categories under your purview include microbial and insect ingredients, alternative omega 3 sources, land animal proteins, and other low-impact sustainable materials.

This role is your gateway to the introduction of eco-friendly ingredients into Nutreco's global aqua- and agrifeed markets (Skretting and Trouw Nutrition). You'll actively seek out products, explore partnerships, and work closely with global teams to bring these ingredients to the forefront.

Tasks & responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

• Become a category expert and disseminate knowledge internally.
• Drive sustainable ingredient plan development and execution.
• Seek growth opportunities, manage supply risks, and encourage innovation.
• Establish supply and commercial terms for raw materials.
• Develop business cases for new feed ingredients.
• Handle global contract negotiations, pricing, and contracts.
• Strategically nurture global supplier relationships and engagement.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers, R&D, marketing, customers, Opco's, and NuFrontiers in global projects.
• Support Opco procurement managers in optimizing products and introducing new ingredients.

Must Have’s

• Hold a university degree in science or commerce.
• Possess over 5 years of management experience in sustainable ingredient supply or a related industry.
• Demonstrate expertise in project management and product implementation.
• Exhibit knowledge of category sourcing methods, policies, and procedures.
• Have hands-on experience with Contracting and ERP systems.
• Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent English communication (additional languages are a bonus).
• Display strong presentation abilities.
• A background or interest in feed ingredients is an asset.
