What you will be doing at wheel.me:
- Effectively communicate with suppliers, ensuring technical specifications and requirements are met.
- Manage product structure and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Oversee release processes, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
- Utilize CAD design tools (SolidEdge or NX) to create and modify product designs.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Utilize Teamcenter and ERP systems to manage product lifecycle and streamline operations.
- Lead technical development initiatives, ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate closely with the department head to make informed technical decisions that align with business objectives.
- Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights into resource allocation, timelines, and feasibility.
- Leverage knowledge of production methods and materials to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
- Play a key role in the development of new products.

- Have a B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Have 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, operations, or development management in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Are proficient in using Teamcenter for PDM/PLM.
- Have demonstrated experience with CAD design tools.
- Have strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Have excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Have exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
