Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Tax Manager in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Tax Manager you will be responsible for all areas within direct and indirect tax for a specific geographic area, including tax structuring, tax audits, compliance.
Main responsibilities
- International tax (direct and indirect) and tax structuring, both with regards to manage risk and optimize returns for projects in the development stage, but also existing projects.
- Advice on optimal funding instruments of project companies and operating companies in order to reduce trapped cash, FX exposure, tax exposure. Assist in tax related matters and funding of operating entities in/via the Netherlands.
- Work in close relationship with the Business Development and Regional Project finance teams, including reviewing assumptions in financial models.
- Review contracts and assist in drafting contracts in cooperation with Legal that are in line with structuring decisions and ensure tax exposure is reduced.
- Transfer pricing – work with the Transfer Pricing manager and ensure transfer pricing is considered in the structuring and ensure compliance on transfer pricing for your geographic area in the Scatec Solar Group.
- Monitor and ensure general global compliance within the tax area.
- Manage tax audits and tax controversy matters in your geographic area and respond to questions from the tax authorities
- Develop routines/policies/internal control (including operating system) within the tax area.
- Monitor tax legislation in the countries Scatec is established and assess measures to optimize ongoing operations.
Qualifications and competencies
- Masters degree within finance/law
- 4-7 years of experience from working with international tax matters and structuring, preferably at a Big 4, law firm or in-house position
- Solid experience with Norwegian tax matters
- Language: fluent both written and spoken in English, other languages is an advantage
