Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Operations department has got the over-all responsibility for all IT services in production, including day-to-day operations, improvement, and lifecycle management. We strive for operational excellence fostering a culture based on competency, collaboration, and people development.
We are now looking for a Senior Network Engineer to strengthen our team. You will work in a dynamic and self-driven environment, contributing to further development of our network services. The position will report to Manager Platform and Network – Infrastructure Operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operate, maintain, and develop enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Azure network services
- Plan and execute network implementation and improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Configure and optimize network equipment (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet etc.) and network protocols, including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
- Ensure up-to-date and correct patch management and life-cycle management processes and execute on these
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security strategies and implement necessary measures to protect against threats
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to network engineering
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Five or more years of experience related to network technologies as well as significant understanding of operating models and operational excellence
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment from leading vendors, such as Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba and Microsoft Azure
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree within relevant fields, or relevant work experience
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable
- Good knowledge with the ITIL framework
