DNV Product Assurance is an accredited Certification Body for ISO 13485, auditing organization under MDSAP and approved Notified Body for Medical Devices Regulation. We are in process to be designated as Notfied Body for In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation. We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Line manager with a strong focus on building a good working environment and a highly competent and well-performing unit. The Team Lead will have line management responsibilities for between 8-12 assessors and auditors.
The line manager will also have an active role in improving within operational efficiency and effective service delivery throughout DNV.
To ensure future relevance of our business you must be motivated to drive change and dare to challenge current practices whilst demonstrating outside the box thinking. A strong technical background within medical devices or similar, demonstrable leadership skills, and an ability to build and drive team motivation are key to being successful in this position.
The successful candidate will lead a team of assessors and auditors who are planning and conducting audits and assessments based on the requirements of ISO 17021, ISO 13485, MDR, IVDR, MDSAP, amongst others.
Key tasks for the Line Manager:
- Ensure an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations
- Optimize business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, and an aligned workforce plan
- Build and strengthen an internal culture based on company’s values
- Support the Head of Certification Processes in business planning and decision making
- Ensure that employees have the required technical competences and qualifications are up to date
- Promote team capabilities internally and externally
- Support employees personal and professional development
- Execute leadership and HR management per the DNV People Policy
- Challenge, facilitate, support, and follow up the performance and individual development of direct reports
- Follow up the work of each employee, including formal and informal monitoring, verification, tutoring and training.
- Execution of annual processes such as MIP to monitor and drive performance
- Enhance the operational cooperation and interaction within the medical services delivery by closely cooperating with DNV Local units, promote best practice sharing.
- Active role in the overall coordination of improvement projects managed by GCU and control in the planning and project delivery phases.
- Ensure professional customer support which leads to a high customer satisfaction and market reputation (including marketing support).
- Solving assigned operational tasks by the line
Position Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree from a university or technical college, masters preferred
- Several years of people leadership experience
- An appreciative and cooperative management style
- A demonstrated track record of developing and driving performance
- A good understanding of the Medical Device industry is highly beneficial
- Fluency in English is required
