Accounting Coordinator

CHC Helikopter Services are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to come and join the Finance team in Stavanger! This role will be responsible for processing flying and charge invoices for Norway contracts, raising sales invoices, assisting with month end procedures such as reviewing and posting monthly accruals and reconciling accounts. This will require great interaction internally within all departments and external customers.

This role reports to the Financing Controller - EMEA.

Key responsibilities:

• Raise sales and customer invoices in line with contractual terms and set timescales
• Reconcile/update AIMS contract codes
• Update invoicing system with new contracts / rates
• Respond to all customer queries relating to invoices ensuring these are resolved in a timely manner
• Calculate monthly fuel cost for customers
• Monthly accruals – revenue and cost
• Monthly BS reconciliations
• Carbon credit reconciliation to customers
• Communication with auditors as part of the yearly audit procedures.
• May perform other duties/ad-hoc projects as assigned

• Higher education in cost management, finance, accounting or similar.
• Extensive relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.
• Preferable 3 years of relevant experience working within a finance department, in particular accounts receivable.
• Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) is desirable.
• Past experience of using finance systems
• Proficiency in excel and other Microsoft excel applications
• Be detail-oriented, organised, and focused on accuracy
• Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, with the ability to interact with internal staff at all levels of the business and externally
• Ability to work using own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), to meet monthly deadlines and goals
• Adaptability and problem solving capability
• Ability to understand complex contracts
