Finance Manager for our client

Our client is a global company within the maritime industry, headquarted abroad and with the Norwegian office located in Åsane in Bergen.

Our client is seeking an ambitious and proactive Finance Manager,  who possesses a well-equipped operational "hands-on" toolbox. 
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of their Norwegian operations – from small things to bigger financial problem-solving. This role reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager at the mother company, ensuring alignment with corporate financial strategies and guidelines.

As an ideal candidate, you have the ability to familiarize yourself with new material, you navigate easily between specific tasks in line with daily operations and are skilled at collaborating and creating an environment where job satisfaction is valued.

In your work, you demonstrate a solid understanding of common hands-on accounting and financial areas. You know your numbers and are capable of clearly communicating them. You exhibit an outstanding ability to execute tasks and never hesitate to step onto the floor and interact with employees/colleagues in your quest to implement the right solution.

As a person, you are independent, self-driven, and naturally interested in contributing and support to the development and improvement of processes. You are persistent, resolute, thrive in the workplace, and possess a natural understanding of the importance of creating security and flexibility for your colleagues.

Education
To be considered as a candidate for this position, it is expected that you have a Financial or Accounting education.

Background

• Experience in all-round finance areas
• Experience with hands-on accounting, reporting, and auditing, on monthly bases as well as a solid understanding thereof
• Some experience with financial controlling, in analyzing financial data and creating structure, visibility, and forecasting methods based on historical data
• Preferably international experience or interest of this
• Technically proficient in digital solutions
• The Norwegian office uses Visma and HQ uses Business Central, so experience from either of these systems is an advantage   
• Minimum 5 years of work experience
