Group Accountant

The Group Accountant has a key role within Norse’s accounting function that will be responsible for a wide variety of accounting and financial reporting tasks. The Group Accountant will, together with the rest of the accounting team, ensure that Norse’s books of accounts are accurate and up-to-date on a daily basis. Group Accountant will require a pragmatic approach to identify and implement efficient ways to handle the accounting department’s responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Handle accounting transactions efficiently – automation being the main theme
- Responsible for lease accounting and airline industry-specific accounting items
- Ownership of specific AOCs (legal entities) financial reporting
- Contributing to the Group’s periodic external financial reports
Responsible for periodic books of accounts closing activities
- Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Additional professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage
- Fluent in English language, both spoken and written
- Prior experience in an international environment will be an added advantage
- Previous experience in IFRS based accounting and reporting will be an advantage
- Experienced with modern accounting software
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other office app
