DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The SCM Purchaser serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating purchases of materials and services for multiple NOV Rigs facilities.
• Participates on cross-functional teams to identify and select suppliers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with SCM Team and Engineering, to ensure on-time delivery and understand requirements.
• Participate in negotiations with 3rd party suppliers to establish favorable terms, volume discounts and pricing on all material and/or service purchases as appropriate.
• Handle purchase requisitions, place POs, and follow up delivery
• Expedite when required to assure purchase order delivery schedule is met, and suppliers are meeting contractual criteria.
• Participates in periodic, supplier KPI reviews along with SCM Team.
• Reviews supplier performance regularly to ensure that all aspects of the Purchase to Pay process are properly maintained.
• Monitors compliance to sourced supplier agreements, where appropriate and applicable.
• Monitors the PO receipt process and ensures POs are appropriately paid and closed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree of equivalent in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Technical/Commercial background with documented results in similar positions may compensate for formal education.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
• Strong Analytical skills, Organizational and problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE:

• Purchasing experience or similar relevant experience. 
• Experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools.
• Good technical understanding (including basic knowledge of manufacturing and drawing/specification reading)
