As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for all activities related to the engineering disciplines within the project to be executed timely, efficient, and cost-effective. Our business is growing towards more complex integration needs for both brown and greenfield plants. You will also secure that everything is in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

In this position, you are expected to see new opportunities for the business, increase efficiency between disciplines, solve unprecedented problems and recommend new practices and changes to programs. Furthermore, create and implement strategies for risk assessment and mitigation, opportunity assessment and exploitation in the projects.

A key to success in this role will be to drive completion of all technical engineering activities on the project and to have an overview of the full functionality of the delivery within scope of supply and construction support. This means full authorization in approval of solutions, delegation, system design etc.

The engineering manager is ABB’s main contact point for all engineering activities and works together with the customer to shape and deliver projects that meets requirements and needs.

You will be organized in Engineering Management unit responsible for Engineering Management in PAEN and report to the Head of Engineering Management.

Workplace: Fornebu (Oslo) and/or Bergen.

Your responsibilities

• Engineering & Design of EICT scope (electro, instrument, control, and telecom).
• System design responsibility.
• Design solutions and follow up specifications according to customer’s requirements.
• Implement customer functional requirements into ABB’s products.
• Follow up and execute review and upgrade-activities in projects.
• The position involves working together with Norwegian and internationals customers and vendors therefore some travelling must be expected.
