As marine HSEQ superintendent, you will work closely with the HSEQ manager with dedicated responsibility for assigned vessels.

Job description

Marine HSEQ superintendent is responsible for the HSEQ related performance, compliance, and effectiveness of assigned vessels

• Supporting the onshore support teams for nominated vessels. 
• Developing, implementing and maintaining an efficient Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management system for marine operations.
• Monitoring the performance and effectiveness of HSEQ policies and programs.
• Conducting vessel inspections, audits and assessments as well as handling external vetting processes.
• Conducting investigations and root cause analysis of occurrences.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices to ensure our operations are up-to-date with the latest HSEQ standards.

Will work closely with the onshore support teams under the supervision of Aurora Operations, ensuring the vessels deliver first class services to our clients. This includes close interaction with Technical, Supply Chain, Crewing and Chartering. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or other related field. Experience as a deck officer is considered an advantage and can also compensate for the lack of a formal degree.
• Preference for candidates with multiple years in the shipping industry with focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management
• As a fully digitized company, experience with management systems considered mandatory. 
• Candidates must be able to work in an international group based on English as well as Norwegian language
