Senior Project Hydraulic Systems engineer in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are committed to a culture of teamwork and safety.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for design hydraulic, pneumatic control circuits, size hydraulic/pneumatic components and calculate flow and pressure requirements.
- Participate in the entire project and design cycle including system architecture, requirements derivation, conceptual and detailed design, system performance modeling, analysis, manufacturing and integration support, development testing, qualification, and delivery.
- Able to define at component level including but not limited to pumps, actuators, mechanisms, valves, manifolds, piping, and sensors.
- Responsible for the design, testing and delivery of hydraulics and control systems in our equipment.
- Able to lead or be part of offshore and subsea commissioning and installations.
- Responsible for Project and tender documentation.
- Able to coach, mentor, and technically assist other team members.
- Able to perform Operations and fabrication planning and follow up.
- Resolving ongoing technical issues.
- Supporting projects during the installation of new equipment and ensuring as built documentation is released.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering degree (preferably)
EXPERIENCE:
- Hydraulic systems experience
- Preference is to have experience in subsea and offshore environment
SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs.
- Proficiency in analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis. (desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret very complex electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to create and develop complex control system diagrams.
- Familiar with requirements of various oil and gas equipment codes and standards such as API 17 (Subsea) etc.
- Understanding of mechanical/hydraulic systems and electrical systems used in Subsea Systems
- Good knowledge in electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic pumps.
- English language required
- Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions under time restrictions
