Rocketfarm seeks developers for robotics, front-end and system architecture

Robotics Software Developer

Who you are

Possess a Master or Bachelor’s degree within robotics, computer science or similar degree
You are solution oriented and enjoy adapting to new technologies
You are experienced with Agile software development methodologies
You have good communication skills and not afraid to ask questions
You are comfortable giving support to new and existing customers
Most importantly; you love technology and working with brilliant people

What you will be doing

As part of our development team you will be responsible for improving our products such that we maintain our positions as Universal Robots- and Palletizing experts.

Develop new software applications for robotics
You will work with develop new features and maintain our products
Define, implement and refine features and functionality for our simulation tool

Whats nice to have

Proficient in delivering robust code written in C/C++
Experience in Python and Java
Used robotics frameworks such as ROS
Experience with Linux, Docker and container technologies
Familiar with Git flow, Unit testing and CI

System Architect

Who you are

Possess a Master or Bachelor’s degree within robotics, computer science or similar degree
You are solution oriented and enjoy adapting to new technologies
You are experienced with Agile software development methodologies
You have good communication skills and not afraid to ask questions
Most importantly; you love technology and working with brilliant people

What you will be doing

As part of our development team you will be responsible for improving our products such that we maintain our positions as Universal Robots- and Palletizing experts.

You will work with develop new features and maintain our cloud based products
Define, implement and refine features and functionality for our simulation tool

Whats nice to have

Proficient in delivering robust code written in C++ or Java
Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure Cloud
You have experience with databases and ORMs (PostgreSQL a plus)
Experience with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes is favorable
Experience in Python and Javascript
Familiar with Git flow, Unit testing and CI

Front-end developer

Who you are

Possess a Master or Bachelor’s degree within robotics, computer science or similar degree
You are solution oriented and enjoy adapting to new technologies
You are experienced with Agile software development methodologies
You have good communication skills and not afraid to ask questions
You are comfortable giving support to new and existing customers
Most importantly; you love technology and working with brilliant people

What you will be doing

As part of our development team you will be responsible for improving our products such that we maintain our positions as Universal Robots- and Palletizing experts.

You will work closely with UX, design and backend developers to develop user friendly and groundbreaking technology
Define, implement and refine features and functionality for our simulation tool
Develop new software applications for robotics

Whats nice to have

Proficient in delivering robust code written in languages such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, GraphQL
Experience with Angular framework
Experience with using libraries as RxJs, Angular Material and Three.js
Experience in Python and Java
Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure Cloud
Familiar with Git flow, Unit testing and CI

Universal Robots er en verdensledende produsent av kollaborative roboter, og med deres roboter og vår software, har vi truffet en nisje på det internasjonale markedet som stadig blir større.

Vi har i dag tatt posisjonen som et ungt, nyskapende robotikk- og teknologifirma. Kombinasjonen faglig utfordringer og majestetisk natur har fristet mange ressurssterke ingeniører og utviklere til Sogndal. Vi er 25 rocketfarmere i dag, og er i kontinuerlig vekst.

Sommeren 2019 flyttet vi til vårt nye kontorlokale, Rockethouse!
Rockethouse er hovedsete for det teknologiske miljøet i Sogndal, hvor Rocketfarm og nLink sammen har bygget opp et betydelig fagmiljø med sterk kompetanse på alt fra kunstig intelligens, robotikk, reguleringsteknikk, hardware, rapid prototyping til forretningsutvikling. Her har vi vår egen robotlab, god plass og store muligheter for videre ekspandering, samt Sognefjorden som nærmeste nabo. Rockethouse blir ofte brukt av de ansatte også utenfor arbeidstiden. Engasjerte medarbeidere arrangerer stadig både sosiale og faglige eventer på kveldstid.
