Lead Workshop Technician
We are looking for a Lead Workshop Technician to join the team, based out of Stavanger.
To participate in and take responsibility for all the workshop activities based in Stavanger in line with all ICR procedures. To safely operate all workshop machines, tools and materials for Quickflange, Technowrap and other ICR products in Norway to support the operation.
The role will be based out of the ICR workshop in Stavanger.
The main tasks and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
Main tasks:
· To maintain the equipment associated with the Technowrap and Quickflange product lines. This will include preparation and testing of equipment prior to mobilisation and checking of equipment on return.
· To manage the control and movement of all stock and equipment.
· To ensure the Workshop activities are compliant with all ICR safety procedures.
· To maintain procedures and execute maintenance and service on Quickflange and other ICR equipment.
· To maintain company owned equipment, complete job cards and records.
· To carry out tool assembly in accordance with project requirements
· To assist with the inspection of new or third-party equipment, and update SAP accordingly.
· To operate the workshop machinery and participate in required risk assessments
· To coordinate with the Project Coordinator with regards to the purchase of goods and equipment for the workshop, based on min/max stocking.
· To ensure all stock and tolling are registered and accounted for in SAP at all times (including locations)
To assist with mobilisation documentation and mobilisation of equipment
· To perform inspections/acceptance control of Quickflange products, tool parts and other materials such as pumps, hoses, pelicases etc
· To ensure the goods receipting of all materials in/out of Stavanger warehouse and SAP registration accordingly.
· To carry out the packing of all outgoing products, equipment and tool packages for customer jobs.
· To coordinate deliveries and collections from suppliers and clients
· Transportation locally as required
· To act as the HSEQ focal point for Workshops
· To ensure the QA/QC checks are carried out in accordance with company procedures
Key responsibilities:
· To deliver first class service and delivery for all customer jobs both offshore and onshore.
· To undertake all workshop activities in compliance with ICR procedures.
· To deliver a technical support from and within the workshop, ensuring the maintenance of Quickflange, tool inventory and other ICR products.
· To ensure quality and HSE focus at all times.
Mandatory Training Requirements:
· Mechanical Qualification
· Dangerous Goods trained
· Forklift trained
Candidate Requirements:
· Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance
· Mechanical Workshop experience
· Experience and understanding of logistics and stores function within the Oil and Gas sector
· Good knowledge of English both written and verbal
· HSEQ focussed, service minded and structured
· Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload and those of others as required
· Sets high standards in quality of work with excellent attention to detail
· Technical understanding and interest
· Strong organisational skills
· Good working knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems
· Ability to follow/comply with procedures and recognised working practices
Willingness to work offshore – valid certification in place preferable, but not a mandatory requirement
