Project Manager for Drilling and Surface Projects

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for customers through project lifecycle and is responsible to build, develop, and grow the relationship with customer who is vital for successful project execution and customer satisfaction. 
  • The PM will coordinate activities with internal Cameron Departments and external vendors as required to ensure the project is executed in accordance with the contract requirements within the specified timeframe and allocated budget. 
  • They are responsible for defining the projects goals and objectives and the management of the contract, scope, changes, financials, schedule, risks, resources, stakeholders, reporting, planning, execution, monitoring & control and closure for the project.


Qualifications & personal attributes;

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent technical degree. Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management preferred.

Personal attributes and abilities:

  • Proven ability to work effectively with international customers, suppliers and project teams
  • Ability to successfully lead and motivate others in a highly matrix international environment to accomplish business objectives with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and have the proven ability to balance multiple priorities and coordinate several medium or large scale projects simultaneously in a high paced environment. 
  • Experience working in a technical engineering environment as well as the manufacturing processes of heavy equipment or systems.
  • Proven financial estimating, budgeting and Profit & Loss experience in managing multi-million dollar global projects.
  • Ability to improve processes and get others' buy-in as a business change agent and to work across diverse personalities, agendas and management levels across organizations to achieve project goals.
  • Capable of developing and writing Project Management processes and work instructions as well as demonstrated competency in using standard project management tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to write clear project specifications, give clear instructions, communicate with all levels of an organization and have proven executive level presentation skills
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to apply advanced aspects of the engineering and quality assurance concepts to solve practical business problems.

Computer software knowledge and Certifications:

  • ERP, MRP and SAP experience preferably
  • PMP certification supports consideration of position Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 certification highly desirable or the ability to obtain certification within two years
  • Familiar with Six Sigma principles and practices - Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus
  • Technically competent and solid working knowledge with various software programs and technology, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project AutoCAD, Solidworks, LiveLink (open text), Primavera, Premaster, @RISK, ECOSYS, SAP, Sharepoint, internet, and intranet 

This is a permanent staff position based at Randaberg.
