Risk Analyst

Aker Solutions' Front End division, HSE in design team, consists of 15 highly qualified Engineers. The HSE in design team has the responsibility for risk and safety analysis in all project phases, from early (appraisal) phase to the end of detail engineering.


We emphasize the importance of using HSE in design as a key element when developing safe oil and gas installations with a minimized environmental footprint. Technology development and low carbon technologies, such as unmanned and autonomous platforms, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) and offshore wind power are within Front End's responsibility. Our team supports these projects with HSE in design competency.

We need talented and experienced engineers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the energy market.

We are now looking for a Risk Analyst.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

• Perform quantitative risk assessments/analysis for offshore oil and gas installations, CCUS plants or other new concepts within Aker Solutions' portfolio, e.g. offshore fish farms
• Establish design accidental loads
• Perform ALARP (As Low As Reasonable Practicable) evaluations
• Assist in technical safety evaluations
• Optimize the design solutions based on the results from the risk analysis and safety studies, in close co-operation with area and system disciplines
• Assist in/perform other safety related studies and CFD analysis, e.g. ventilation, gas dispersion and fire analyses
• Participate in technology development projects
• Follow-up and coordinate third party safety analysis

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• Minimum 2 years' experience with quantitative risk analysis according to NORSOK Z-013
• Graduates will be considered
• Higher technical university degree
• Experience with basic programming / scripting is an advantage
• Experience with risk analysis and CFD tools is an advantage, e.g. ASAP, KFX, in:Flux or FLACS
• Ability to translate customer challenges into solutions
• Analytical and structured
• Team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive and positive attitude
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
