1679 - Senior Electrical Power Engineer

For our customer we are looking for a Senior Electrical Power Engineer. 

Role:

• Engineering of Electric Power Drive Systems in Subsea Boosting Projects. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the Power System Discipline in FEED and EPC projects
• Act as Power System Lead in the engineering process from conceptual design to system testing and commissioning
• Interact with clients, suppliers and internally with other technical disciplines and sales
• Work with Supply Chain and other internal functions in securing deliveries from external suppliers
• Plan, coordinate and participate in component at key suppliers’ facilities, system testing at our test facility
• Some travelling will be required
• Strong commitment to HSE

Education & Experience

• MSc or BSc in Electric Power Engineering
• Experience from design of Power Drive Systems
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience

Job knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Capable of leading and executing relevant activities within engineering of Electric Power Drive Systems for subsea boosting projects
• Deep knowledge in variable speed drives, power transmission, transformers and HV motors
• General competence in electro physics and power system analysis
• Experience in applying IEC, IEEE and other relevant industry standards
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English; orally and written
