Our client provides cloud infrastructure as a service from a growing number of data centers and network points of presence around the world. The customers range from Web startups to global enterprises. Products and services include bare metal and virtual servers, networking, turnkey big data solutions, private cloud solutions, and more.

For this position, it is important that you are flexible in terms of working hours. This job requires the flexibility to work day, evening or night after a shift schedule. Furthermore, it is important for you to thrive in a fast-paced environment where detail orientation is the key to success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and AMD servers
• Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment
• Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of server hardware
• Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with basic network and operating system installations and configurations.
• Monitor and assist our automated provisioning system for new server orders
• Monitor and escalate issues with customer’s servers as necessary

PERSONAL QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS:

• You can work shifts - day, evening, night.
• You are structured and detail oriented.
• You have excellent skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• You have customer focused attitude with some previous customer service experience.
• You are proficient in English
• You are available to start ASAP!

It is an advantage to have a driver's license and access to your own car due to workplace's location being outside Fetsund.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Operating System Installation - Windows Server, Linux, Unix
• Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment
• Moderate knowledge of PC hardware concepts and component installation.
• Basic knowledge of various internet-related services and software (mail, web, DNS, etc).
• General understanding of computer networking concepts.
• Network wiring/cabling experience a plus.
