Senior Engineer - Insulation - ISO checking

Aker Solutions' Material Technology department based in Stavanger Norway consists of qualified and experienced engineers  (materials technology, corrosion protection, insulation, welding).

We are now looking for a Senior Engineer - Insulation - ISO checking for a temporary position in Stavanger.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Insulation design check in 3d model based on requirement on the project and practical knowledge /experience of insulation friendly design, installation and feasibility of insulation
• Insulation and heat tracing check on isometric drawings based on Insulation requirements on the project
• Ensuring P&ID aligns with 3D model and isometrics
• Handling the insulation log, including clash solving
• Technical support to other disciplines
• Close coordination with process, technical safety and electrical
• Challenging design where possible where insulation can be avoided

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

• Master or Bachelor degree
• Experience with piping insulation design / installation (pipework, cladding and removable insulation) – thermal, acoustic, personnel protection and fire insulation
• Familiar with NORSOK R-004 / NORSOK M-004 and TR1660
• Familiar with 3d model software (PDMS and NAVISWORKS)
• Familiar in the use of Time 9 to review latest P&ID info
• Internal tools for iso-checking routine
• Knowledge of change control system (CCS) to track / make design changes
• Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English
