Commercial Business Controller

Right now, we are looking for a Business Controller to join our Commercial Business Control team. I am Barrett Ganje and I am leading Commercial Business Control. We are a great team of six people, and every day we are striving for excellence in our work to provide the best insight possible and help achieve our goals in Telia Norway.

Your next challenge?
In this position you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting of customer, revenue and cost development across all products, services and brands. You will work closely with finance and commercial functions challenging and supporting the Commercial Business Performance teams. This position reports to the Manager of Commercial Business Control.

Your team in Oslo has the overall responsibility for Gross Margin performance by tracking revenue and cogs developments and providing insight to the commercial and management teams. In this team of 5, your contribution will be central and you will have a great opportunity to influence the work that your team is doing. Our working environment is one of the best, we work across many teams and divisions are involved in various projects and operate with flexible working hours between 07:00 – 17:00.

Job tasks

• Reporting, follow-up, and analysis of revenue, cogs and customer profitability with underlying drivers
• Forecasting revenue, cost of goods sold and customer profitability on product and service level for Consumer brands in Telia Norway
• Support Business Case process, both with development as well as to challenge product and commercial teams on profitability and financial risks
• Proactively drive processes that address customer, revenue, and cost of goods sold developments to ensure optimal profitability and minimalize churn
• Update internal reports and build analytical tools to increase insight and the quality of reporting
• Support finance and commercial divisions on ad-hoc reporting and other analytical tasks within area of responsibility
• Identify processes and methods to simply existing tasks and improve way of working

This position is a key role in Telia Norway, connecting our finance and commercial divisions, with good development opportunities.

Your personality:

• Analytical, structured, and communicate information easily and understandable
• Results oriented with high ambition and working capacity
• Proactive and challenge organization in constructive ways

Your Experience:

• 3+ years experience from a Business Controller role or similar, preferably within technology
• Minimum Bachelor and preferably Master within Economics or MBA
• Experience handling large datasets and complicated contexts, as well as within Business Case development and analytics
