Claims Handler, Hull & Machinery

Skuld Hull is now searching for a Claims Handler for our head office in Oslo. In this role you will handle claims within all aspects of Hull & Machinery.

You will be trained by senior colleagues and be given specific responsibilities from the start, making this a great opportunity to learn and develop.

Main tasks

• Handle and update claims, records and electronic archives
• Review and update claim reserves
• Prepare claim payments
• Issue counter guarantees
• Prepare periodical claim reports
• Maintain contact with brokers
• Cooperate closely with our finance department
• Issue simple statements

Qualifications

• Nautical sea faring experience would be preferred
• Interest in shipping and marine business
• Marine technical understanding and/or interest in learning
• Ability to work in a structured manner, with precision and attention to details
• Good English communication skills – verbal and written
