About the Role
This is a rewarding role where you will participate in the development, improvement, implementation and follow-up of a full range of HR activities in Oslo and our sister offices. We are currently modernizing our HR tools, and you will play a key role in this process. The role will have the Oslo office as the main ‘client’, following up daily HR activities and oversee the office administration. However, communication with the other offices, and travel to London and possibly to other offices will be necessary.

Communication is an important part of the role. You should have an accommodating mindset, master a concise written language, and have a good sense of the receiver’s perception of your communications. English is our work language, and you must master the language on a high level.

Your competence

  • 2-5 years HR experience from similar or international business
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Relevant bachelor degree
  • High degree of energy and self-motivation
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in an autonomous role and part of a team
  • Attention to detail, and good analytical ability
  • Work environment act and related laws and regulations

  • Day-to-day personnel administration
  • Personnel archive
  • Personnel system entries and data quality
  • Development and implementation of HR systems
  • Personnel handbook updates
  • Recruitment assistance
  • Follow-up of starters and leavers
  • Cooperation with payroll
  • Reception of new employees
  • Competence follow-up
  • Training of new managers
  • Training of HR associates in other offices
  • Assistance in Golar Management leadership training programs
  • Intranet entries
  • Office administration

We are one of the world’s largest independent owners and operators of marine-based LNG midstream infrastructure – active in the liquefaction, transportation and regasification of natural gas including 26 vessels. We recently completed the world’s first FLNG vessel conversions, with the Golar Hilli Episeyo commencing operations in Cameroon in June 2018.

The Company is very international with approximately 250 employees in our offices in Oslo, London, Split, Kuala Lumpur, and Cameroon. We are seeking to expand our four-people HR team with a HR Manager to be based in our offices in Oslo. The position will report to Head of Global HR in Oslo.
