In 2015 Cargill acquired one of the world’s biggest feed producers, EWOS. Following the acquisition, Cargill gathered all its aqua feed activities into one new group called Cargill Aqua Nutrition (CQN), present in 20 countries and with headquarters based in Bergen, Norway.
The role is located in Cargill Innovation Center in Dirdal, former EWOS Innovation. The innovation center focus is research on nutrition and nutrition-related areas for salmonids, including feed processing and raw material development. These state-of-the-art R&D facilities, including world-class researchers, has laid the foundation for former EWOS, now Cargill, can offer the very best fish feed and advice to customers, and be the trend-setting innovator in the aquaculture industry.

In this role you will be responsible for execution of the production processes within a work area, operational department, operational support area or technical domain. Position will also be responsible for housekeeping duties as well as a role in equipment maintenance/repair.

Main Tasks:

• Operate a production process to ensure that the production outcome, quality, quantity and timing fulfil customer specifications and requirements.
• Contribute to optimize the work routines in the Pilot Plant, lead continuous evaluation and improvement of production process and procedures
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and/or modify complex industrial equipment, processes and/or systems. Diagnose cause of malfunctions or equipment failures.
• Compiles accurate data, observations/deviations and production quality measurement on time and according to scope
• Teach, train and coach others on work activities, methods and procedures
• Complies with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR).
• Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions according to our safety program including participation in risk assessments, audits, safety meetings etc.
• Actively takes part and drives building a safety culture that reduces and eliminates risk

Qualifications:

• Professional certificate (fagbrev) in a relevant area such as production Engineering, chemical processing, industrial food production, automation, mechanical, electrical, engineering.
• Bachelor, or higher, degree in process technology, automation, mechatronic engineering and/or related science is an advantage.
• Good technical knowledge and understanding of processes and automation systems.
• Relevant work experience, 5 years+ is preferable.
• Proactive and curious, Customer focused and Innovative.
• High degree of accuracy, efficiency and responsibility.
• Good communication skills and team player.
• Good English and Norwegian written and oral skills.
• Good IT skills and used to use IT as a work tool.
