UX / Interaction Designer Drammen

Are you skilled in, and passionate about, usability and design? Would you like to a be part of our increased focus on and investment in design and user experience?

We are looking for a designer that is comfortable with the design process, has empathy for the user and a familiarity with the Android operating system, that can help us find the right balance between security and usability.

You will be working closely together with developers, product owners and several others using your skills to improve and evolve our products and make it available to a larger audience. 

You will be an integral part of the design team which is situated at Admincontrol’s IT department in Drammen – a five-minute walk from the train station. The design team is currently comprised of two user experience designers and one front-end designer.

Main tasks and key responsibilities:

• Helping shape concepts and solutions within a diverse team, with special responsibility for the Android platform.
• Understanding and solving (sometimes) complex challenges.
• Being a part of the team that is the company’s go-to people on usability and design.

Key personal skills:

• Genuinely motivated by crafting well thought-out experiences and understanding the users’ needs.
• Eager to learn and improve yourself and help those around you.
• Good listener and communicator.

Any combination of these skills is a plus (not a requirement):

• Knowledge of the thoughts behind and the use of design systems.
• Apprehension of the fundamentals of coding.
• Experience with agile methods.
• Understanding of business value, needs and potential.
