Vice President Digitalization

The VP Digitalization will be responsible for defining and executing Aker Energy´s digital strategy and lead our business through a digital transformation in the whole value chain. The successful candidate will shape, form and drive innovation to solve key business challenges and utilize new technology and data to improve business performance. You will continually scout for new opportunities, bring in new ideas, lead global projects and identify new trends to make Aker Energy in the forefront of digitalization while ensuring safe and efficient oil and gas operations.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Identify and develop a vibrant digital ecosystem of technology and partners to ensure sustainable development of digital opportunities and initiatives
• Define and execute the company´s digital strategy and lead the business through a digital transformation in the entire value chain
• Identify the value chain's most critical processes / key activities that have the greatest impact on financial and operational results, while utilizing new technology and data to improve business performance
• Identify and develop digital capabilities to ensure that the company can adopt new technologies and new ways of working
• Promote emerging digital technologies and articulate the digital future and our company´s role in it
• Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner for employees, management, and partners on our digital journey
• Identify, lead and prioritize global digitalization initiatives/projects and ensure value creation
• Identify, lead and build a team with the appropriate capabilities to harness our digital future

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, Business Administration or Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ of proven experience in digitalization at executive level
• Solid knowledge of digital technology, strong understanding on how to unlock digital potential and a vision on how to incorporate it in business operations
• Excellent business acumen, strategic mindset, drive and presence and a desire to drive digital transformation
• Demonstrate a high degree of decisiveness, while maintaining a level of due diligence behind every key strategic decision
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence people at all levels within the organization
• Ability to think analytically and conceptually while working in a structured, independent capacity
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to stakeholders
