Senior Structural Engineer

Aker Solutions' Structural & Marine department based in Stavanger, Norway consists of highly qualified and experienced engineers. We need experienced Structural PDMS Designers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the market.

We are now looking for Senior Structural Engineer for a temporary position in Stavanger.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Prepare structural design brief / structural design premises for the structural scope
• Perform structural analysis of existing Topside modules both in-place analysis ULS (Ultimate Limit State) condtion and FLS (Fatigue Limit State) condition
• The analysis will be performed due to life time extension of an FPSO
• Perform structural analysis of crane pedestals

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

• Master or Bachelor degree
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with Sesam / Genie analyses
• Experience with module analyses for both ULS condition and FLS condition
• Experience in using 3D model either PDMS or NavisWorks in order to find information related to the structural analysis work
• Experience in preparing structural design brief and structural design premises
• Software Skills : Sesam, genie, Staad Pro
• Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English
• Offshore Course: Valid offshore certificate
