Operations Engineer

Job summary:

Based onshore, the Operations Engineer coordinates Light well intervention operations and carries out customer, partners and supplier follow-up. In addition the engineer attends to various engineering tasks during the operations.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Operational management of LWI activities and subcontractors
  • Planning offshore operations and developing operational procedures
  • Cooperate with design and purchase of equipment for the LWI Operation
  • Obtaining necessary documentation to complete the operations
  • Ensuring implementation and compliance of HSE and QA in line with requirements from authorities, customers and own corporate management procedures and goals
  • Applying a high priority of proactive approach and level of visible involvement to HSE performance in the planning and evaluation of the different work tasks. This includes ensuring that risk assessments are conducted, reviewed and preventative actions implemented
  • Ensuring safety of operations and personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and to maintain the attitude that all accidents are preventable
  • Liaison with clients, authorities, classification societies and subcontractors as applicable, and with insurers in respect of damage claim handling
  • Combined Operations Hazard Identification and Assessments, as required
  • Take part in implementing operations goals in line with TIOS’s overall targets
  • Be a part of the department’s duty scheme

 

Desired Qualifications / Required Background:

  • BSc/MSc (Petroleum/Subsea, Marine/Mechanical or equivalent) Technical
    College 2 year. Experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • Strong communicative abilities, and problem-solving attitude is required
  • Fluent in written and spoken Norwegian. Good knowledge of written and
    spoken English

The candidate must have a conscious relationship with quality and HSE work. Cooperation, strong communication skills and the ability to work systematically and independently will strongly be emphasized.

· Plug & Abandonment (P&A)
· Pilot hole / top hole drilling
· Downhole Technology

The above well intervention services are very competence driven. In addition to committed, highly skilled and experienced offshore personnel, we have the following resources onshore to efficiently execute and plan the operations:

· Project management resources
· Engineering department
· HSE/QA and risk management resources
· Offshore Operational management


TIOS AS is located in Stavanger and has approximately 100 employees onshore and offshore.
