SAR Coordinator

The SAR Coordinator will have the responsibility for coordinating the SAR related activities between Operative, Technical department and Commercial department.

The SAR coordinator will have a central role in SAR and Special Ops related projects.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensure that SAR and Special Operations equipment is located in required numbers for each operation, and for the performance of maintenance in accordance with the established requirements, and configuration management.
• Responsible for the equipment maintenance programs and the Component maintenance ROLE Equipment Manual with necessary revisions.
• Support in maintaining iSAR for RESCUE technical equipment.
• Responsibility for testing and purchase of new equipment, modifications and improvements to existing equipment and processing of discrepancies.
• Responsible for processing of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and related continuing airworthiness information for all related equipment. Liaise with the Program Engineers on the maintenance programs, revisions and MRS updating in AMOS.
• Work closely with;
  • Operational Department regarding SAR and Special operations and participate in meetings where this equipment and tasks are the topic.
  • Customers and vendors regarding contracts and equipment specifications.

Qualifications and experience

• Technical background
• Experience with SAR related equipment is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Skilled labour Certificate within a relevant area, for instance Mechanical or logistics
• A practical, hands-on person
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written

The SAR Coordinator reports to General Operations manager (GOM)/ Accountable Manager. The SAR Coordinator governing documents are the Safety Management & Compliance Monitoring Manual (SMCM) and Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition Manual (CAME) and Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) with a regulatory reporting line to Part M Post holder.
