The Junior Technical Superintendent is a training position with the objective of developing you to become a fully operational Technical Superintendent in the Gearbulk technical team. The role is central within our business as it has overall responsibility for the safe and efficient technical management of our ships.

This position is an interesting opportunity for you who have the passion for solving technical challenges on ships and working in a global environment. The position is offering a wide range of experiences:

• On the job training with experienced Technical Superintendents
• Sailing with and working on board different types of Gearbulk vessels world wide
• Theoretical and practical training on the Company's maintenance systems and safety manual systems
• On site dry docking and hull structure training and practices
• On the job training with the various departments in the office
• Vessel inspections in cooperation with a Technical and/or HSEQ Superintendent
• Cooperation with Gearbulk's local branch offices worldwide

We are looking for a young marine engineer/marine technology professional who, preferably has some experience from shipping, and is willing to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Successful candidates have good co-ordination skills, are able to work independently and maintain focus and performance under pressure. The company's international character requires good English language skills, and an international mindset.

The position is located in Bergen and reports to Fleet Manager.
