Senior Reservoir Engineer

Job Summary:

SIS Reservoir Engineer will support and ensure high quality service delivery via consulting projects, on-site support and technology implementation services to clients of Schlumberger, supporting technical resources allocation, resolving complex software and engineering issues and sharing relevant software information with clients to pre-empt potential issues.

Reservoir Engineering is a core skill required
by SIS to enhance the value of our solutions to our
clients.

SIS Reservoir Engineer will continuously
develop his/her skills in the following domain competencies and use this
expertise to provide superior client support:

 

  • Reservoir modeling and description
  • Reservoir simulation of clastic and carbonate reservoirs
  • Reservoir dynamic processes
  • Reservoir management
  • Reservoir fluid systems and PVT analysis
  • Rock properties – SCAL
  • Uncertainty and history matching, computer aided history matching
  • Reserves estimation
  • Classical reservoir engineering techniques, such as fluid flow in porous media, material balance, well test interpretation
  • Field development planning

 

Relationships:

Reports directly to Technical Lead and
functionally to Reservoir Engineer Business Owner

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Executes domain and multi-domain consulting project
  • Provides extended on-site support and consulting at client offices, maintaining a professional image
  • Leads in software deployment projects at client sites
  • Investigates, analyzes, resolves and prepares reports on moderate to complex client tickets via telephone, email or on-site visits
  • Ensures service quality and pre-emptively informs supervisors when potential issues arise
  • Actively participates in the local and global conferences and external events
  • Develops, implements and documents best practice policies and procedures for new projects or initiatives
  • Proactively visits clients to discuss software related issues, including defects, workarounds and emergency fixes, providing information detailing the history, resolution, and status
  • Initiates and leads client conference calls on topics of key interest such as new features, upgrade advice, product usage tips
  • Prioritizes issues and works with geomarket Business Owner and Technical Lead 
  • Effectively uses designated business systems
  • Understands and utilizes the correct problem escalation procedures
  • Explains multi-product, multi domain workflow concepts and relevant data model characteristics to clients when required
  • Instructs software trainings clients
  • Adheres to all standards of confidentiality and security
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art computer technology, equipment, and systems; participates in professional development activities as appropriate

Previous Experience and Competencies:

 

  • Master’s degree in relevant domain
  • Very strong computer literacy with aptitude and readiness for multidiscipline training
  • Minimum 5  years experience
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
