Lead Engineer E-house and packaging

The electrification products distribution solutions unit is a global leader in power distribution solutions. The unit provides solutions for a stronger, smarter, greener power network including medium and low voltage switchgear, automation and protection and packaged solutions like secondary compact substations. ABB has a major manufacturing plant for power distribution solutions in Skien, Norway.

Tasks;

Your role is to lead the technical work, to translate customer requirements into a system design. You will be responsible for the technical system, from specification and base design, via detail design, test and verification to commissioning and hand over to customer. You will work closely with the PM and contribute in technical solutions, site work an design ideas.

Requirements;

- You are a technical leader, with a solid engineering background
- You have a Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience (MV, Installations, LV, PV, Substations)
- Good written and oral communication skills in Norwegian languages as well as English
- You have good and solid experience of electrical design and modern design tools
- You are familiar with RENblad, NEK 400, IEC standards.
- You have good knowledge of law and regulations as well as standards for the electrical industry and energy supply including substations

You will be a part of EP in Skien, a unit within ABB EP. We have 3 factories in Skien and a good environment with engineering and Project Managers. The factories deliver Substations, MV Products and MNS low voltage switchgear. Client can be Norwegian or global.

The position is located in Skien and involves some travel activities.
