Dette er en spennende versjon fra Rampone & Cazzani. Nickel Silver legeringen er messing som er tilsatt noe nikkel som gir hornet litt mer "edge" som passer fint på denne type saksofon som er basert på vintage big bore konstruksjonen som gir en kraftigere- og fyldigere klang.

Rampone & Cazzani har produsert saksofoner i Italia lenge før Selmer eksisterte.

Many modern saxes produce a pure sound that can be a little 'one dimensional'. Some players prefer to sacrifice some of this purity for a richer 'multi dimensional' tone where harmonic layers can be more easily exploited. This is one reason why vintage instruments are sought after but if you want the benefits of modern day reliability, ergonomics and intonation then bring on the Rampone! These saxes are intended to look as retro and vintage as they sound so do not expect the 'perfect' cosmetics found on more mass produced horns.

Nickel Silver is incredibly dense, and has huge resonance, but not in the same way that Bronze or Solid Silver will respond. What the heavier inclusion of Nickel will give you is brightness. In spades. These horns absolutely pop and give a big response aurally.
Tonally, this boldness gives the horn an aggressive edge, perfect for a soloist or someone interested in those big rock and roll/funky noise! Resistance wise, the horns are pretty free-blowing, especially for a material so heavy. This again will serve to further the boldness of the tone, giving the player plenty of edge and projection. These horns are not for the feint hearted. They will be noticeably heavier then brass models, and certainly louder.
